Working sensitively with the existing West Coast Architecture and older Japanese garden our brief was to create a sequence of outdoor rooms on various levels to flow together and reimagine the atmosphere. A nuanced palette of materials, tones, and textures welcomes a refined contemporary mood. A bespoke screened garden staircase adds both backdrop and cohesion. A cascading stainless steel basin water feature centers the space. The reimagined additions were all expertly crafted by the artisans at Vertical Grain Projects, Haurd Stone and Tile, and Riddleworks Metal Fabrication. Curated furnishings included a suite from Swedish brand Röshults, ceramic planters imported from Belgium's Atelier Vierkant, and custom terrace planters from local manufacturer Greentheory. Each element adds a sculptural face to unfolding foliage in this reimagined outdoor living space.

A cascading stainless steel basin water feature is the subconscious supporter and center of the space.
